What is it?
A computer is a machine that helps people solve problems, find information, play games, write, and much more. It follows instructions called programs.

Why is it important?
Understanding what a computer really is helps kids stop thinking of it as just a screen. It’s a helpful tool that they can learn to control, not just watch.
