Students will complete Unit 8 Year 1 activities using 3D modeling workflows.

• Student-created digital artifact(s) saved to class folder.

Week 1 - Simple Table

Lesson 1 - Build a Table

Goal: model a basic table in Tinkercad.

1. Open Tinkercad and sign in.
2. Join teacher activity and create a new 3D design.
   
   
3. Make tabletop using a cube.
   
   
4. Make one leg.
   
5. Copy/paste legs to all corners.
   
   

Extension: make a chair or stylized table.

Lesson 2 - Repeat or Extend

Repeat for unfinished students; extension for fast finishers.

Week 2 - Name Keyring

Lesson 1 - Model and Export

Goal: build a printable keyring with text.

1. Open Tinkercad and keyring activity.
2. Create base using sketch tool.
   • Height: 2 mm
   • Max size: 60 mm x 50 mm
3. Add text on top and resize to fit.
   
   
   
4. Add optional decorative shapes (star/heart).
5. Export STL to student Google Drive folder for printing.

Lesson 2 - Print/Color or Catch Up

Students with completed prints color them.
Others continue keyring modeling.
